Wednesday Briefs: Ladybirds run-rule Holmes, HHS-NC baseball postponed

The Highlands Ladybirds (13-6 overall) handled the visiting Covington Holmes Lady Bulldogs, 15-0 in three innings in 9th Region softball action at Winkler Field.

Highlands moved to 7-0 in region play with the win. The Ladybirds take on Dixie Heights on Thursday. Game time is 5:30 p.m.

Baseball:
Highlands-NC postponed:

Highlands (12-10 overall) saw its 36th District contest postponed until May 6 at 5 p.m. at Morcher Field. The Bluebirds take on Bellevue at 5 p.m. Thursday. They are 2-0 in district play.
