Ladybird softball wins at Cooper

The Highlands Ladybirds softball team (10-6 overall) picked up another 9th Region run-ruling Tuesday with an 11-0 victory in five innings.

Bailey Spencer threw another gem striking out four and walking none in the one-hit shutout. Highlands moved to 4-0 in region play with the win.

The Ladybirds cranked out 13 hits. Rachel Gabbard went 3-for-3 with a pair of runs batted in and Shelby Graybill went 2-for-3 with a home run to center field. Brennah Dtucher also went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI with Josie Daley recording two singles. Morgan Coffey added two RBIs and Zoie Barth tripled.

Highlands plays host to Beechwood on Wednesday. Game time is 5 p.m.
