Highlands in Class 2A State Meet

Schroeder Finishes Second in Two-Mile Run

The Highlands track and field teams took to the University of Kentucky for the Class 2A state championships. They started Friday and ended Saturday because of the weather.

The Highlands girls finished 12th with 24 points and the Highlands boys tied for 31st with five. Mercer County won the girls 2A state championship and Boyle County won the boys side.

Highlands Girls Finish Fourth in 2A State Meet

Instagram Photo. The Highlands girls track and field team placed fourth in the Class 2A state meet over the weekend at the University of Kentucky.
The Class 2A Track and Field State Meet took place at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track Facility on Friday and Saturday after excessive rains postponed the meet for a day.

The Highlands Bluebirds girls placed fourth with 53 points and the Highlands boys finished 12th with 18 points. Boyle County won both the boys and girls titles with 110 and 84 points respectively.

Highlands Girls Track and Field Wins Red Dog Meet

The Highlands Bluebirds softball team won its second game against an Ohio opponent Tuesday with a convincing 19-7 win over the host Cincinnati Turpin Spartans in six innings.

Highlands track teams claim Region 4 titles

The Highlands track teams won convincing Class 2A, Region 4 titles Friday at Pendleton County.

The Bluebirds ran away with 196 points besting second-place Lexington Catholic's 127 by 69 points. The Ladybirds tallied 181 points outdistancing Lexington Catholic by 28 points. None of the other seven teams scored triple digits.
