The Newport
Central Catholic Thoroughbreds boys soccer concluded the Visitnich.com
Soccerama with a dominating win Sunday.
The
Thoroughbreds handled the East Jessamine Jaguars, 6-2 to improve to 2-1-1 on
the young season. They’ve outscored opponents, 14-2 since opening the season
with a loss at Highlands.
Matt Tolle,
Evan Brannon, Jacob Hensley, Nick Huesman, Gualt Nolan and Patrick Louis scored
goals for the Thoroughbreds. Louis had three assists with Tolle recording one.
Paul
Grosser and Brian Anderson spent time in goal for the Thoroughbreds. Grosser
made three saves and Anderson had one.
NewCath
faces Villa Madonna in the All “A” 9th Region tournament on Tuesday. Game time
is 6 p.m.
