The Highlands Bluebirds girls basketball team (2-0) dominated the St. Henry Lady Crusaders, 82-53 in the first 9th Region game of the season at Russell Bridges Gym on Friday.
The Bluebirds saw four players score in double figures. They were senior guard Maggie Hinegardner with 16, junior forward Kelsey Listerman with 15 and senior guard Piper Macke and senior forward Meghan Walz with 10 each.
Highlands showed its balance on the score sheet. The Bluebirds made 16 two-point shots, 14 three-point tries and eight free throws.
Highlands plays Cincinnati (Ohio) Princeton in the Hoops for Harvest Classic at Dixie Heights on Saturday. Game time is 10 a.m.
