The Highlands Bluebirds softball team (1-3 overall) lost its first game back from Spring Break on Tuesday.
The Ursuline Academy Lions from the Girls Greater Catholic League held on for an 8-7 victory at Winkler Field. Ursuline moved to 6-3 on the season.
Highlands outhit Ursuline, 10-8. Anna Greenwell, Rachel Gabbard and Brianna Tharps had two hits each to lead the Bluebirds. Piper Macke added a triple.
The Bluebirds did record 11 stolen bases in the game. Caroline Class led the way with four with Greenwell and Morgan Coffey recording two each.
Highlands plays host to Boone County on Thursday. Game time is 5 p.m.
