The Highlands Ladybirds rebounded from the loss Saturday with a convincing 10-0 win over the John Hardin Lady Bulldogs (2-5 overall). Highlands improved to 4-2 with the victory.

Highlands saw Gwen Gorman and Lindsey Meyer lead the way with five points. Gorman scored two goals and had an assist with Meyer scoring one and assisting on three others. Hannah Buecker added four points on a goal and two assists as the Ladybirds outshot the Lady Bulldogs, 37-0.

Tatum Price, Abby Stein, Kaitlyn Meyer, Kaitlyn Helminiak, Maria Wiefering and Kelsey Mathis scored the other Highlands goals. Parker Price and Maria Wiefering had the other assists for the Ladybirds.

"We have definitely been struggling to finish the past few games," Kaitlyn Meyer said. "To fix that, we hit it hard in the last couple practices working on our movement off the ball. I think this movement created more finishing opportunities in our game last night. I think that as a team that we are tired of not finishing because we know that we can."

The Highlands Sub-Varsity teams also won Monday. The Junior Varsity Ladybirds beat Newport Central Catholic, 6-1 and the Freshman Team beat Cincinnati Turpin's JV squad, 4-0.

Highlands plays at Bellevue on Wednesday. Game time is 5 p.m.
