Sophomore Maria Wiefering scored two goals to increase her team-high to five on the season. Kylie Stava and Gwen Gorman also scored twice. Gorman added two assists to lead Highlands with six points and Lauren Deckert added two assists. Maria Broering, Deckert, Lindsey MeyerParker PriceTatum PriceSophie SteppeAbby SteinKatelynn Helminiak and Isabella Thomas scored one goal each. Broering, Kaitlyn Meyer, Lindsey Meyer, Parker Price, Tatum Price, Stava, Stein and Maria Wiefering had one assist each.

Sophomore Maggie Hinegardner and freshman Jasmine Rehburger shared time at goalkeeper. Hinegardner played the entire game Saturday at Ursuline in place of injured senior goalkeeper Olivia McQueary.

"I'm just trying to prepare for next season when Olivia is gone when it's my turn to step in," Hinegardner said. "I have to learn the speed of the game and make sure I'm prepared for when a shot might come at me or direct my defense to make sure that nothing gets past us."

Highlands travels to Louisville Sacred Heart on Saturday. Game time is 6 p.m.
