Highlands drops another close one

The Highlands Bluebirds boys basketball team (2-8 overall) dropped another tight game Tuesday at home.

The Campbell County Camels (7-10) escaped with a 56-52 non-region victory. Braden Posey led the Bluebirds with 16 points and Bradley Greene tallied 10.

Highlands plays host to Ryle on Thursday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Basketball, Girls:
Jenkins game delayed

The Jenkins Lady Cavaliers (8-7) were scheduled to face Leslie County in the All "A" 14th Region Tournament at Perry County Central. But it was postponed until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Jenkins senior Whitney Creech's career point total remains at 4,618. Creech needs 331 more points to surpass Highlands Head Coach Jaime Walz-Richey's state record for boys and girls with 4,948.
