Bluebirds snap seven-game skid

The Highlands Bluebirds basketball team snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 62-51 victory over the visiting Dayton Greendevils on Saturday in 36th District action.

This marked the second win for Highlands (3-9 overall, 1-1 district) over Dayton (9-7, 0-3) this season. The Bluebirds also beat the Greendevils, 62-52 in the Swauger Holiday Classic at Bellevue on Dec. 23.

Highlands placed three players in double figures. Luke LaFrange and Mitch Cain led the way with 17 points each and Nick Kendall scored 13.

The Bluebirds play host to Pendleton County on Monday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
