The Highlands Bluebirds girls soccer team moved to 8-1-4 on the season following a tight 1-0 win over the Bishop Brossart Lady Mustangs on Wednesday at Pendery Park in Melbourne.
Sophomore Jade Rehberger scored the game's lone goal and junior Kenzie Nehus had the assist making her season debut for Highlands. That marked the third goal for Rehberger to go with two assists for eight points.
Junior goalkeeper Jasmine Rehberger made two saves for the Bluebirds. This marked the sixth shutout of the season for Highlands.
Highlands will take the forfeit win against Bellevue to move to 9-1-4 on the season. The Bluebirds play host to East Central (Indiana) on Monday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

The Bluebirds won another dual meet at Summit Country Club. Junior Luke Muller shot a 37 to lead Highlands.
Highlands plays in a couple tournaments over the weekend. One is the Grant County Invitational on Saturday at Eagle Creek Golf Course and the other is the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association All-State Invitational in Lexington.
