The Highlands Ladybirds softball team (8-13-1 overall) handled Bellevue, 18-3 on Thursday in a make-up 36th District softball game.
Highlands moved to 3-0 in district play to clinch the top seed in the 36th District Tournament and 5-4 in 9th Region action. The only regular season district game left is against Dayton.
The Ladybirds recorded eight hits. Maleah Abner and Alyssa Dixon had doubles to lead Highlands and Brooke Dill stole five bases. Gracie Schlosser struck out five and allowed one hit in two innings pitched.
Highlands travels to Bishop Brossart on Friday. Game time is 5 p.m.
