The
Highlands Bluebirds girls basketball team
won its fourth in a row Monday.
The
Bluebirds ventured to Crestview Hills and took down the Dixie Heights Lady
Colonels, 56-50. Highlands improved to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in 9th Region action
and Dixie Heights fell to 2-4. Dixie Heights is coached by former Highlands
standout and assistant coach Tara Boothe-Smith.
Brianna
Adler led Highlands with 20 points. She made 6-of-6 free throws in the fourth
quarter.
A number of
other players contributed for Highlands. Junior Alex Combs followed Adler with
17 points.
Liza Tibbs
paced Dixie Heights with a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Teammate
Molly Diamon followed with eight points and 12 rebounds.
Highlands
plays host to Campbell County (2-4) on Saturday. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
