The Highlands Bluebirds girls basketball team continued to roll along to start the State Farm Classic at Conner on Thursday.

Highlands (6-1) won its sixth in a row dominating the Louisville Moore Lady Mustangs, 72-41. The Bluebirds won this tournament last year.

Highlands led 42-18 at halftime and never looked back. That allowed 12 different Bluebirds to see some action and every one of them scored.

Alex Combs paced Highlands with 16 points. She made 6-of-8 shots including a three-pointer and all three free-throw attempts. Haley Coffey and Lydia Graves followed with eight points each.

Tyra Jones led Moore (1-8) with 11 points. Teammate Anastasia Crawford followed with nine points.

Highlands recorded 19 steals to six for Moore. Combs, Brianna Adler and Zoie Barth recorded three each for the Bluebirds.

Highlands plays twice today in the classic. The Bluebirds face Lexington Henry Clay (3-6) at 10:30 a.m. and Boone County (6-3) at 5:30 p.m.
