Bluebirds Still Searching for First Win

The Highlands Bluebird boys basketball team hit the road down to the 13th Region on Friday and came home with a 75-54 loss to the host South Laurel Cardinals.

Highlands is still winless in four games. The Cardinals (4-0) led 26-10 after the first quarter, 45-21 at halftime and 56-40 entering the fourth quarter.



Jacob Noe led Highlands with 11 points and Tyler Gulley scored nine. Highlands made just 8-of-15 free throws for 53 percent and South Laurel made 7-of-8 for about 88 percent.

The Bluebirds play at St. Henry (2-3) on Saturday. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
