Highlands falls at PRP

The Highlands Bluebirds baseball team (1-1 overall) dropped its first game of the year on the road in Louisville on Friday,

The Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers handed the Bluebirds a 7-0 defeat. Highlands was not shut out in last season's state runner-up season.

The Panthers outhit the Bluebirds, 9-3. Conner Kreeger, Mark Walkenhorst and Kyle Finfrock had hits for Highlands.

Ethan Doty (0-1) took the pitching loss for Highlands. He pitched into the fourth striking out five before Spencer Dee took over.

Highlands takes on two Ohio teams Saturday. The Bluebirds battle host Cincinnati Moeller at 11 a.m. before facing Strongsville at 4 p.m. Strongsville is a suburb of Cleveland.
