Ladybirds win fourth in a row

The Highlands Ladybirds soccer team won its fourth in a row Monday with a 2-1 decision over the Dixie Heights Lady Colonels.

Highlands (9-6) moved one win shy of double-digit victories. The Ladybirds won 12 last year marking the first time they'd recorded double-digit victories since their last region crown in 2010.

Highlands freshman Lindsey Meyer continued her stellar season with two more goals. Junior Kiersten Clukey had an assist on one of them. Meyer has a team-high nine goals on the season.

The Ladybirds face Dayton at Davis Field on Tuesday. Game time is 5 p.m.
