Campbell County scored in the bottom of the sixth inning on an error to break the tie. The Bluebirds led 3-0 entering the bottom of the fourth. The Lady Camels scored four times in the sixth to take the lead.
Highlands outhit Campbell County, 9-8. Senior Brooke Dill had two hits including a double and eighth grader Addie Mack had two hits including a double and run batted in. Junior Morgan Coffey doubled and recorded an RBI with junior Rachel Gabbard driving in a run on a sacrifice fly.
Seventh grader Kennedy Baioni took the loss. She struck out two and walked three.
Highlands plays in the Lexington Lafayette Triangle on Saturday. The Bluebirds take on East Jessamine at Noon and the hosts at 2 p.m.

The Bluebirds (15-7) could not earn a win over the Colonels in their second meeting this year. But it was closer than the 11-0 six-inning run-ruling at Great American Ballpark on April 20.
Highlands takes on Milford (Ohio) on Friday. Game time is 5 p.m.
