Junior post
Drew McDonald scored his 1,000th career point in helping the Newport Central
Catholic Thoroughbreds to victory Wednesday.
McDonald
finished with 18 points as NewCath (14-3) downed the Ludlow Panthers, 79-39 to
advance to the All “A” 9th Region semifinals on Friday. Teammate Tanner Moeves
followed with 17 points.
The
Thoroughbreds face St. Henry in the semifinals at Dayton. Game time is 7:30
p.m.
