Highlands Girls Soccer Wins Again

Third Straight for Bluebirds

The Highlands Bluebirds girls soccer team (3-0-1 overall) won its third straight contest with a 3-0 win over the Ryle Lady Raiders (1-4) on a rainy Monday at Tower Park.

This marked the first shutout on the season for Highlands. The Bluebirds moved to 2-0-1 in 9th Region play.

Highlands sophomore forward Chloe Bramble led the Bluebirds with three points on a goal and assist. Bramble has a team-high nine points on the year with three goals and three assists.

Sophomore forward Macy Hedenberg scored her first goal on varsity for the Bluebirds and senior forward Maria Broering had the other goal. Broering is tied with Bramble for a team-high three goals on the season.

Sophomore midfielder Faith Broering had two assists for the Bluebirds. Faith Broering has a team-high three assists on the season.

Junior Jasmine Rehberger again played all 80 minutes in net for Highlands. She recorded five saves.

Highlands plays host to Assumption on Saturday. Game time is 11:30 a.m.
