Lauren Ossege led Highlands with two goals and sister Sydney Ossege had the other. Ellie Farley also had a goal and Lindsey Meyer had one goal and one assist with Kiersten Clukey adding two assists.
Junior Shannon Eaton played the entire game at goalkeeper and had eight saves. Sophomore Olivia McQueary did not play because of injuries. The two split halves at goalkeeper last year.
Highlands also won the junior varsity game 10-0 forcing an early end because of the 10-goal rule. The Ladybird freshmen also won 7-0.
The varsity does not play again until Aug. 27. Cincinnati Anderson comes across the river for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
