Highlands senior girls golfer KJ Toole opened up the season with a runner-up finish at the Cooper Invitational at Lassing Pointe in Union shooting a nine-over par 80.
Owen County's Lilly Bauman won the event shooting a 72. Highlands did not qualify for a team score in the event.
Highlands plays in the Grant County Invitational on Tuesday at Eagle Creek Golf Course in Dry Ridge. Tee time is 7:30 a.m.
Highlands Boys Compete in Model Invitational:
Highlands shot a team total of 329 to finish 10th out of 19 teams at the Model Invitational on Monday at the University Club at Arlington in Richmond.
Junior Joel Craft led the way shooting a 73 on the par 72 course. Freshman Hank Shick shot a personal-best 79. Freshmen Nate Surrey and Oliver Golden followed with scores of 88 and 89 to round out the scoring.
Highlands plays in the Cooper Invitational on Tuesday at Boone Links Golf Course. Tee time is 8 a.m.
