The Highlands Bluebirds boys golf team opened with two tournaments in three days.
Highlands started Friday finishing fourth in the Pendleton County Invitational at the Pendleton Hills Golf Course in Butler, which is the site of the 8th Region Tournament on Sept. 28. Freshman Hank Shick led the way shooting an 83 to place sixth.
Highlands then played in the Mason County/St. Patrick Invitational at the Maysville Country Club taking eighth out of 11 teams shooting a total of 336. Junior Joel Craft led the way shooting a 76. Three freshmen in Nate Surrey, Hank Shick and Oliver Golden rounded out the scoring at 85, 87 and 88 respectively.
The Bluebirds play in another tournament in Model Invitational on Monday. The tournament takes place at the University Club at Arlington in Richmond.
