Bluebirds Open Season at Pendleton County Invitational

Twitter Photo. The Bluebirds golf team finished fifth in the Pendleton County Invitational on Sunday to open the season.

The Highlands Bluebirds golf team opened the season in the Pendleton County Invitational on Sunday. The Bluebirds took fifth out of 12 teams with a score of 327.

J.D. Gabbard led Highlands shooting a 74 in 18 holes. Aaron Verst followed with a score of 80. Ryan Leigh and Steven Grimme rounded out the scoring with scores of 85 and 88 respectively. Joel Craft shot a 91 for Highlands.

Highlands plays in the Beechwood Invitational on Monday. The tournament starts at 8 a.m.
