Highlands Bowling Wins First Matches

Bluebirds Take Down Crusaders

The Highlands Bowling teams opened with a co-ed victory over St. Henry by 2,515 pins to 2,188 at LaRu Lanes in Highland Heights.

This marked the first win for new Head Coach Andy Eckerle. Former Highlands Head Coach Glenn Schmidt still helps out the team.

"We were a bit sluggish at first then it was positive to see what they overcame some adversity and finished real strong," Eckerle said. "That was a good sign. I think they were kind of getting some cobwebs out of them."

Highlands takes on Covington Catholic at Erlanger Bowl on Nov. 12 at 3:30 p.m.
