Holmes Escapes with Narrow Win

The Highlands Bluebird boys basketball team held nice leads throughout most of the season opener Tuesday at home.

But the Bluebirds could not make enough plays to beat the Holmes Bulldogs losing 46-45. Highlands led 26-16 at halftime and 45-43 with 39 seconds left.

The Bluebirds saw one player score in double figures. That was senior Jacob Noe with 13.

Highlands plays host to Boone County on Friday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
