The
Highlands Ladybirds basketball team could not come up with another victory on
the road Thursday.
The host
Cincinnati Ursuline Lions (2-0) handed Highlands (1-1) a 58-45 setback. Jesse
Daley led the Ladybirds with 10 points and five rebounds.
Ursuline
led 32-20 at halftime building the lead behind offensive rebounds. Junior Sarah
Reilly led the Lions with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
“We talked about it at halftime. We were letting our
offense dictate our defense,” said Jaime
Richey, Highlands head coach. “We
weren’t making shots, so we were being a little bit passive on defense. That’s
not us.”
Highlands
travels to Louisville Sacred Heart on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
