In a rematch of last year's 9th Region championship game, the Ryle Lady Raiders run-ruled the Highlands Bluebirds, 16-1 in three innings in Union on Thursday.
Highlands (10-6 overall) dropped to 6-3 in region play. The Bluebirds have lost four straight to Ryle since beating the Lady Raiders, 8-1 in the 2016 region championship game.
Highlands plays in the John Sosby Memorial Tournament on Saturday. The Bluebirds take on Grant County at 10:45 a.m. and Western Hills at 4 p.m. at Bourbon County.
