Bluebirds open season with tie

Neither team has its first goals of the season after playing to the scoreless tie Tuesday.

The game changed location from Union to Tower Park and neither the visiting Cooper Jaguars or host Highlands Bluebirds hit put the ball past the goal line in the 9th Region contest. Highlands had 21 shots including 10 on goal and Cooper had one shot that Bluebird goalkeeper Paul Tully saved. Tully and Simon Frink split time at goalkeeper.

Highlands travels to St. Henry on Thursday. Game time is 8 p.m.
