Highlands Freshmen Football Wins

The Highlands Bluebirds freshman football team knocked off Boone County, 52-6 in Florence to snap a two-game losing streak and move to 6-2 on the season.

Will Hartman returned a kickoff for a touchdown and rushed for another for the Bluebirds. Foster Schuett and Jake Welch rushed for two touchdowns each. Griffin Richter rushed for one touchdown and Trenton Bridewell had a receiving touchdown.

Highlands plays host to Ryle on Oct. 18. Game time is 6 p..m.
