Snow forces cancellation of Monday games

Bad weather forced the cancellation of the basketball games involving the Highlands and Newport Central Catholic girls basketball teams Monday.

Highlands was to play host to Woodford County and NewCath was to play host to St. Henry. Woodford County will instead come to Fort Thomas on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

The NewCath and St. Henry game will not be made up. Likewise, the NewCath boys were to travel to St. Henry tonight. That game will also not be played because the Thoroughbreds went over the scheduling limit. The NewCath teams both beat the St. Henry squads in the All “A” 9th Region Tournaments.

The NewCath girls play at Walton-Verona on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The NewCath boys travel to Covington Holmes in a crucial 9th Region battle on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
